Hi Courtney,

I think the Nanodegree is interesting. Haven’t done the course myself but the techniques they describe seem relevant. I do like what they say: with only a few specific techniques that don’t require coding you can already solve business problems. That’s what the courses above also focus on.

Best, Erik

I have come across the Business Analyst Nanodegree by Udacity and wanted to see if you had an opinion on this course? I am an HR professional and wanting to learn analytics to ensure I am ready for the future!

Full disclosure: I am a Mentor (volunteer) on the course. We also have 3 Teaching Staff that support the course in addition to the 3 Professors.

Coursera also offers a series of courses in Data Science that includes a project: http://bit.ly/2d14DIt

And for those already working in HR or Talent who want to get a better understanding of data science to work more effectively with their colleagues who are specialists in the field, there is also Executive Data Science https://www.coursera.org/specializations/executive-data-science

If you already are working in HR or Talent and want a practical intro to data science, the Executive course is a great start. From there, if you want to go deeper, the Data Science series is a good follow up.
